Alessi Balsamic Reductions enchance the flavor of any dish and can be used on everything. We simply reduce balsamic vinegar with a bit of pure cane sugar until the full flavor and syrupy consistency develop. Our reductions have no thickeners or fillers, so the flavors of every ingredient used are highlighted rather than masked. Besides the typical use of drizzling decoratively over a finished plate, use Chocolate Balsamic Reduction in salads (arugula, thinly sliced Vidalia onions and roasted oranges), over thin slices of salty prosciutto, in place of a cocoa rub in roasted meats, over fresh fruits or baked goods or even over ice cream.
